Sculptra
®
Sculptra® is an injectable biostimulant made of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) that ramps up your body’s production of collagen. Collagen is a natural component within our body that maintains the supple, vibrant, youthful appearance to the skin.
Unfortunately, our natural collagen is broken down by 1% each year, thus, as we age, our skin loses its luster and structure, creating laxity and leaving a dull, aged appearance. With Sculptra®, we can slowly replenish your own collagen and restore that youthful glow.
Sculptra® may be used alone or in conjunction with filler–creating a comprehensive approach that addresses both volume loss and overall skin health.
Sculptra® microspheres are slowly broken down by the body within about 4 months. What remains is your very own beautiful, new collagen. Treatments are typically done in a series of 2-3, roughly 6-8 weeks apart and results will develop gradually over the next several months and last for more than 2 years.
