MEET ERICA
Erica Kuhnlein is an Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner who specializes in advanced injection techniques and is sought out for her natural approach, attention to detail, and gentle hand. She has over 14 years of medical experience, with half of that time being dedicated to the craft of medical aesthetics. She serves as a national trainer for Revance Aesthetics and is also a mentor for novice injectors.
Erica prides herself on building lasting relationships with her patients and developing comprehensive treatment plans that aim to restore, support, and optimize each individual's unique and natural beauty. Honest to a fault, Erica will never recommend a treatment or product that she doesn't 100% believe will give her patients their best results.

Previous to aesthetics, Erica developed a diverse clinical background working in cardiac care, ER/trauma, cardiac cath lab, and outpatient cosmetic, oculoplastic, and ophthalmic surgery. She firmly believes in continued education, which is why she dedicated 8 years to her formal education, and graduated with honors from both undergraduate and graduate programs. She practices that same belief today by frequently attending trainings to stay up-to-date on the latest innovation and techniques. In doing so, she is able to offer her patients the most modernized and safest approach to full-face restoration.
Perhaps most important of all, Erica is a mother to two beautiful girls, Olivia and Maeve, and married to Ryan, Medical Director of The Melrose Aesthetic. Outside of work you can find her hanging with her family and chasing the sunshine (with sunscreen on, of course).
MEET RYAN
Ryan is a practicing, board-certified neuroradiologist who serves as Medical Director. In this role, Ryan is responsible for safety and compliance oversight. When he isn’t carrying the load of the Kuhnlein girl crew, you can find him boating on Lake Michigan or working on his true passion, music production.

THE STORY OF MELROSE
After having been a part of growing a smaller practice in West Virginia, and then joining a large, established practice in South Carolina, Erica was inspired to create something of her own back home in Michigan—a boutique practice where she could impart her own approach to both the practice of medical aesthetics and the relationships she builds with her patients. Erica’s wish is to keep her practice small and focused, so she may continue to provide personalized, one-on-one care in an approachable and comfortable space.
Standing proudly behind her is her husband, Dr. Ryan Kuhnlein, who serves as Medical Director and co-owner. Ryan and Erica have two young daughters who inspired the name The Melrose Aesthetic. Their middle names together became Melrose: Melody + Rose = Melrose.
Erica has an incredible passion for helping women and men feel confident in their skin. She believes beauty is more than what you see on the surface, but instead, is a feeling. There’s something magical about helping someone to find or restore what lights their fire and makes them feel beautiful, and as a result, the positive effect it has on their lives and overall sense of wellbeing.
Erica is methodical and meticulous in her work and prefers to think of herself as a partner in her patients’ aesthetic journeys. She prefers a natural approach when restoring youth to the aging face, and believes that prevention and subtle adjustments are what create the best results and help her patients stay true to their own unique beauty for years to come.
